Testing Combine — Quarterly

Athletic Development · U12–U19

Obj: The athletic data day — sprints, jumps, changes of direction, and screens: the physical strands measured, logged, and routed (7.4's data spine; the quarterly batteries' athletic wing, run beside B-39/G-23/I-25). Field: Half field, stations. Equip: Timing gates/stopwatches, cones, tape, score app. Org: The combine's stations: 5/10/20m sprints (J-03's gates formalized — two trials, best logged), 30m for U15+ (max-velocity's proxy), change-of-direction tests (the 5-0-5 or club-standard cut test — J-04's mechanics under the clock), jump battery (countermovement and single-leg hops — power and asymmetry both read; the asymmetry flags routed to J-09/J-15), the landing/movement screens (J-05's license re-graded; squat and hinge quality re-gated), and height/wingspan logging (the PHV tracker's quarterly feed, 3.x — the combine doubling as the growth-monitoring appointment). Deltas headline (the A-37 ethic universal); results routed same-week (IDPs, PHV flags, screen referrals — data undelivered is data wasted, I-25's inherited law). CP: (1) Standardization is the data's honesty (same surfaces, same protocols, same rest — the combine's discipline); (2) test-day framing as progress-proof day (D-25's motivation logic); (3) asymmetries are appointments, not alarms (routed calmly to the care systems). Prog/Reg: Test menus scale by age band (U12's combine is shorter and gentler; the full battery by U15). Mist: P: test-day heroics on tweaked legs (the availability culture outranks any data point — say it at every combine); C: collecting without routing (12.7's audit checks the routing, not just the collecting). Time: 50 min quarterly (Weeks 1/9/18/35 alignment per Section 6). Out: The athletic dashboard current per player; PHV tracking fed; flags routed; year-over-year curves visible in evaluations (7.7). Var: Combine-plus-battery days (the technical and athletic quarterly testing co-hosted — one big lab day per quarter where scheduling allows). Diag: Station map (sprint gates, CoD cones, jump zone, screen station, growth-tracking table) with the routing arrows to IDP/PHV/care systems.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
