GK Union Duels

Goalkeeping · U10–U19

Obj: The monthly all-club keeper gathering — competition, community, and mixed-age craft: retention through belonging (9.4's Union, its session form). Field: Two goals + station zones. Equip: Goals, balls, everything fun. Org: The Union's format: mixed-age pairings (U12s with U17s — the older teaching, the younger absorbing, 9.6's teaching-cements law and the pathway made visible in one room), duel stations (distribution accuracy wars off I-09, claim contests off I-07, reaction battles off I-11, the breakaway battle royale off I-14 — keepers attacking keepers, the empathy comedy), and the Union's closing circle (one keeper presents a save or struggle from their month's film — the position's loneliness answered with the only audience that fully understands, 9.4's community-is-retention). CP: Light-touch by design: (1) craft through competition (the stations carry the curriculum — coaches referee and celebrate); (2) the mixing is the message (every keeper sees their future and their past in the room); (3) the circle's honesty protected (struggles shared here stay here — the Union's trust is the GK Director's to guard). Prog/Reg: Stations scale by the room's ages; the circle optional for the youngest. Mist: C: letting the Union lapse in busy months (it's retention infrastructure, not a treat — 9.4's law); making it all competition (the circle is half the point). Time: 60–75 min monthly. Out: Keeper retention (the metric that matters); mixed-age bonds; the club's GK culture compounding. Var: Guest editions (a college/pro keeper visits the circle — the pathway personified, 18.5's community engagement in gloves). Diag: Two-goal festival layout with duel stations, mixed-age pairs marked, the closing circle drawn center with a film clip inset.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
