Second-Save Recovery

Goalkeeping · U12–U19

Obj: The save after the save — recovery footwork, re-set speed, and the rebound war won: parries answered, spills survived (G-20/G-24's finishers pre-answered). Field: Goal + rebound zone. Equip: Goal, balls, rebound board, bibs. Org: Chained-save circuits: parry-and-recover (I-04's parries followed live — up from the ground via the recovery push, re-set before the second strike); spill wars (deliberate spills with G-24-trained finishers crashing — the keeper's scramble: smother, re-parry wide, or the brave re-claim); the double-dive ladder (capped, 9.4 — the second dive off the first's landing, the ground game's hardest rep); wall-and-rebound realism (H-07's broken walls, the strike's carom re-saved). CP: (1) The first save isn't the job's end — LAND already recovering (the eyes track the rebound mid-landing); (2) up via the top leg's push (the recovery's mechanics taught, not assumed); (3) second saves are war saves (E-22's standards — anything legal that keeps it out, aesthetics owed nothing). Prog: Finisher numbers up; recovery windows shrink; traffic added (I-13 merged). Reg: No finishers (mechanics alone); single chains. Mist: P: admiring first saves (G-24's disease in gloves — the rebound belongs to the alert); C: uncapped double-dive volume (the ladder's rungs respect the spine, 9.4 forever). Time: 12 min (capped). Out: Recovery speed timed and improving; spill survival rate; the second-save mentality soaked in. Var: Battle format (I-14's finishers on the rebounds — the war made festive). Diag: Parry with the landing's recovery push marked, re-set before a crashing finisher's second strike, spill-war inset with smother/re-parry/re-claim options.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
