Cross Claiming Courage

Goalkeeping · U13–U19

Obj: The claim built brave — flight reading, the highest-point catch, and traffic tolerance: the box commanded in the air. Field: Box + wide service. Equip: Goal, balls, cones, bodies (mannequins → live traffic). Org: The courage ladder: clean flights uncontested (flight-reading and the two-hand highest-point catch — knee drive for protection and height), then mannequin traffic (path-finding through bodies), then live passive traffic, then contested claims (E-29-compliant contact, attackers genuinely challenging). The DECISION layered throughout: claim vs. punch vs. stay (claim when the path is clean, punch — one fist through the ball's bottom, high and wide — when crowded, stay when the flight beats the path). Claim ATTEMPTS counted and praised (9.4's law: courage is counted). CP: (1) Read the flight's peak early — the claim's route is chosen in the first half-second; (2) attack the ball at YOUR highest point (the jump through, never under); (3) "KEEPER!" called at the decision, loud enough to clear the path (I-15's command attached). Prog: Deliveries vary (driven, floated, in-swingers — H-03's realism); claim-to-launch chains (F-06's counters born). Reg: Uncontested; softer flights. Mist: P: drifting under flights (the peak misread — back to clean reps); C: punishing dropped braves (the attempt praised, the technique fixed — 9.1's law 3). Time: 14 min (contact volume capped). Out: Claim attempts and completions both tracked and climbing; the punch's address safe. Var: GK Union claim wars (I-22's contested festival). Diag: Cross flight with peak marked, the keeper's route through traffic, highest-point catch with knee drive, punch alternative arrow high-and-wide, "KEEPER!" call bubble.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
