Low-Dive Ladders

Goalkeeping · U10–U14

Obj: Diving built safely by rungs — knees, to squat, to collapse-dive, to feet: the ground game without fear. Field: Goal area, soft ground/mats where available. Equip: Goal, balls, mats, cones. Org: The ladder climbed per keeper (not per group — bio-banded pacing): rung 1 from knees (hands and shape: lead hand behind the ball, trail hand on top); rung 2 from squat (adding the step); rung 3 collapse-dives from feet (the near-post low save); rung 4 low extension with the power step. Volume capped per 9.4; quality videoed monthly for the I-25 battery grades. CP: (1) Step TOWARD the ball before every dive (the step is the dive's engine); (2) land on the side's soft parts (hip-shoulder line, never elbows/wrists); (3) eyes behind the lead hand through contact. Prog: Serves widen and quicken; second-save recoveries attached (I-16's seed). Reg: Drop a rung any day technique wobbles (9.4's law — no shame on lower rungs). Mist: P: belly-flopping flat (the side-landing re-taught); C: rung-skipping for highlight saves. Time: 12 min (capped). Out: Each keeper's rung known and climbing; landings safe and graded. Var: Both-sides symmetry scoring (the weak side gets equal reps, always). Diag: Four rungs left to right (knees/squat/collapse/extension) with the power-step arrow and side-landing zone shaded.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
