Finishing Decathlon

Finishing & Final Third · U12–U19

Obj: The finishing testing day — ten stations, all finishing types, data logged: the category audited in one competitive morning (B-39's finishing twin, feeding 7.7's quarterly batteries). Field: Two goals + zones across a half-field. Equip: Goals, balls (30+), cones, GKs, score sheets/app. Org: Ten stations, 4 min each, personal scores logged: (1) laces accuracy (targets); (2) placement corners (G-04's zones); (3) far-post strokes (G-05); (4) first-time waves (G-07); (5) weak-foot battery (G-10); (6) turn-and-strike (G-06); (7) breakaway menu (G-19, GK live); (8) volley chaos (G-20); (9) headers (G-17, carded); (10) fatigue finishing (G-12's cycle — always last, by design). Quarterly bests tracked; deltas headline (never rankings below U15, A-37's ethic). CP: Assessment discipline (B-39's inherited law): stations self-run, coaches record and encourage, nobody coaches mid-battery (clean data, told to players as respect — "lab day"). Prog/Reg: Station specs scale per age-band benchmarks (Sections 3–4). Mist: P: protecting scores by avoiding weak stations at full effort (the delta culture disarms this — your only rival is March's you); C: grim testing (music, energy, the decathlon frame — kids should request this day). Time: 45 min quarterly (Weeks 9/18/35/42). Out: Ten finishing data points per player per quarter; IDP finishing targets evidenced; the category's audit complete. Var: Decathlon relay finale (teams sum stations — the individual data day ends collectively). Diag: Half-field map with ten numbered stations looping two goals, score-sheet inset, delta arrow (Q1→Q2) emphasized over a crossed-out leaderboard.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
