Obj: Defending transitions after losing counters — the double transition: our break dies, theirs is born, and the two seconds between decide everything (2.5's counter-press meeting 2.6's counter, in the same breath). Field: 60×40yd, goals + GKs. Equip: Cones, balls, bibs. Org: Scripted double transitions: Team A breaks 4v3 (F-05's picture); Team B's defenders are coached to WIN the ball during the break (not just survive — steal it), which detonates the counter-counter: B breaks the other way against A's suddenly-stranded attackers, while A's counter-press (the two nearest) swarms and A's rest players sprint home (F-04's fork under the worst conditions — mid-attack, facing the wrong way, emotionally invested in the dead break). Full loops scored both ways. CP: (1) The moment your break dies, your brain flips or your team bleeds — the emotional turnaround IS the skill (grief is a luxury transitions don't sell); (2) the counter-press after a failed break targets the FIRST pass (their outlet), not the winner (he's looking away — his pass is the vulnerable moment); (3) stranded attackers sprint home through the MIDDLE (recover into the goal-path, E-13's angle law, at maximum urgency). Prog: Waves chain three-deep (counter-counter-counter — the full chaos of real midfield battles); fatigue states (run it late in sessions deliberately). Reg: Coach freezes at the first counter's death to walk the responses; slower breaks. Mist: P: the failed break's carrier chasing his own turnover in a rage past better-positioned teammates (the emotion misdirected — channel it into the correct role); C: training counters without their deaths (half of all breaks die — the response is half the curriculum). Time: 16 min. Out: Break-death responses instant and role-correct; double transitions survived and reversed. Var: Match-film pairing (our own failed counters from Saturday reviewed against this template, 8.5). Diag: A's break dying at a steal, B's counter-launching arrow opposite, A's two nearest swarming the outlet pass, A's stranded pair sprinting home through the central lane.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
