Rondo Royale 7v2

Passing, Receiving & Rondos · U9–U12

Obj: The high-success arrival rondo — confidence, rhythm, and joy before harder work (deliberately easy: success rate ~80%). Field: 12×12yd. Equip: Cones, ball, bibs. Org: Seven outside, two inside. Big grid, big numbers, fast fun: 10 passes = 1 pt, splits = 2, a nutmeg of a defender = royal celebration (mandatory, choreographed by the nutmegger). Defenders rotate by time (45s) never by blame. CP (light-touch — this is an arrival activity): (1) First touch away from the nearest defender; (2) call the name of who you pass to; (3) celebrate teammates' splits louder than your own. Prog: Two-touch; shrink slowly toward 4v1 dimensions as the season's rondo skills grow — the Royale is a barometer. Reg: 8v2; hands-catch version for chaotic days. Mist: C: coaching it hard — this is the welcome mat, save the teaching for B-04/B-10; P: none flagged publicly at arrival time. Time: 8–10 min at arrival, ball rolling ≤2 min from first child (5.1 standard). Out: Energy up, touches banked, session opened with success. Var: Two Royales race for total points; parents' cameo on family days. Diag: Big square, seven edge players, two defenders, celebration star icon at a split line.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
