Obj: Driven and lofted passing technique built by distance rungs. Field: 40×20yd; rung lines at 15/20/25/30/35yd. Equip: Balls, cones, flat markers as targets. Org: Pairs start at 15yd: five clean driven passes each (received controlled) climbs the pair one rung; lofted-ball rounds alternate. At each new rung, technique is re-earned, not assumed. Top rung: switch-of-play flight into a 5×5yd target box. CP: (1) Driven: strike the middle-top with a locked ankle, follow through low — the ball skims; (2) lofted: under the ball, lean back slightly, follow through high; (3) approach angle ~30° with the plant foot far enough away to swing. Prog: First-touch-then-hit off a rolling ball (match reality); receiving graded too (A-28 link). Reg: Drop a rung anytime; smaller ball flight targets removed. Mist: P: swinging harder instead of striking cleaner at new distances; C: letting wild balls fly all session — five clean is the gate, quality climbs the ladder. Time: 15 min. Out: Every player knows their current honest range (logged quarterly — feeds 7.2 passing strand). Var: Left-foot ladder (separate score); GK participation with sidewinders (I-09). Diag: Distance rungs marked across the field, pair at a rung, flight arc arrows driven vs. lofted, target box at the far rung.
