Obj: Outnumbered retention and escape — composure when the press doubles (feeds 6/8 press resistance, 10.4–10.5). Field: 12×12yd with four 2yd corner gates. Equip: Cones, balls, bibs. Org: One attacker vs. two defenders; attacker receives from the coach and must escape through any corner gate (3 pts), or survive 10 seconds (1 pt — the count audible). Defenders score on the win. Shifts of 45s; everyone attacks. CP: (1) Never square to both defenders — angle so only one can engage; (2) use the free gate math: two defenders can't close four corners — scan while shielding; (3) accept the 1-point survival when the escape isn't on (game intelligence, not cowardice — but the 3:1 gap keeps ambition alive). Prog: Defenders start touch-tight; shrink to 10×10. Reg: 8-second target; three gates open, one defender delayed 2s. Mist: P: panic-dribbling into the double; C: shifts too long — 45s of 1v2 is maximal. Time: 12 min. Out: Escape rate climbs; pressure posture (low, angled, scanning) becomes default. Var: Add a bounce player for a 1v2+1 (when to use help — links A-31). Diag: Square with four corner gates, one attacker shielding, two defenders converging, escape arrows to open corners.

The 3-point rule: pick your three coaching points before the session and be ready to answer for them (Manual 5.4).
